With Alexander, Spears didn’t have an engagement period or announce an upcoming wedding.
It didn’t matter that Federline was already with someone who was pregnant with his child.
Spears was going to marry him.
“That thing was a total ugh,” she told People (viaEntertainment Weekly).
“I was not in love at all.”
Then, Federline walked into her life, and she knew he was the one.
The two were flying from Ireland to New York when Spears suddenly had marriage fever again.
“All of a sudden I said, ‘What if you want to get married?’
And I kind of went from there to asking him if he would marry me,” Spears explained.
So, a few minutes later, he did just that.
Soon, it was time for Spears to pick out an engagement ring and pay for it.
