That same year, Lizzo was met with tragedy when her father passed away, which absolutely devastated her.
She was the smallest she had ever been in her life, but absolutely miserable.
“I thought my life was over.”

Exhausted, Lizzo finally left Houston and joined her mother in Denver, where she now lived.
That’s where Lizzo finally found a foothold, and she started bands like The Chalice and GRRRL PRTY.
Things were starting to look up!

Body positivity only exists because body negativity is the norm.”

Although many call Lizzo a trailblazer for the movement, she takes that with a grain of salt.
