A good highlighter is a must-have in any beauty lover’s makeup collection.

It’s also a versatile addition.
That can be a bit of a problem, though.
What if you pick something that doesn’t work for your makeup aesthetic?

You may want a dewy shimmer but wind up with a disco ball on your cheeks.
(Trust us, itmakes a huge difference.)
And that’s where we come in.

So without further ado, here are The List Beauty Awards: highlighter edition!
The cruelty-free indie brand boasts an award-winning line ranging from eyeshadows and lippies to blushes and most importantly highlighters.
We picked up the shadeFlute Punch, which was billed as a peach champagne, creme-to-powder formula.

Flute Punch is loaded with neutral glitter pearls that subtly flash pink and yellow on the skin.
Texturally, the formula is cool and creamy in the pan.
It’s a unique feel, but there’s no steep learning curve to attain dazzling, high-shine cheeks.

Either tool process stayed in place for hours (even under a mask!).
The cruelty-free indie brand consistently delivers innovative, boundary-pushing products that pack plenty of shine.
For evidence, look no further than their multi-chromatic Kaleidoscope Glow line.

It’s a totally worthwhile investment.
What about thatcoveted multi-chrome shift, you ask?
The white base sheers out so that the highlighter doesn’t leave a cast.
Putting it simply, Luster is radiant and summery.
The product applies nicely with a diffuse highlighting brush.
This is far and away the most striking highlighter of the bunch.
So far, the brand has lived up to its goal of celebrating beauty from the inside out.
The liquid formula is available in eight shades tailored to a variety of skin tones.
We grabbed shade Transcend, described as a rose gold on Sephora’ssite.
Doing so leaves you with a stunning, dewy sheen.
Additionally, if you apply too much, it can go cakey on the cheeks.
She took things to the next level by unveiling a line of her own.
So far, Jaclyn Cosmetics specializes in face products and on second attempt lipsticks.
A particular standout is herAccent Light Highlighter.
The color swatches more of a warm-toned coppery orange, but its other promises check out.
At $29 for .17oz., this is the priciest option among our picks.
While the Accent Light Highlighter doesn’t boast modern packaging, it does apply like a vision.
We recommend using a diffuse brush to melt the product onto your skin.
Additionally, Awestruck can be applied to the inner corner of the eye for a brightening glow.
Hot tip: Applying with a wet brush will double the shine!
This is a must-have for anyone who loves a luxe, glowy finish to their skin.
Drugstore brands such asWet n Wildhave been proving that for years.
The brand has countless devoted fans, and its bakedMegaGlo Highlighting Powderboasts a cult-like following.
There’s no illusion that you spent the big bucks to pick this up.
However, for less than $6 (the product costs $5.99 for .19oz.)
you’ll wind up with a highlighter that’s more than just serviceable.
The MegaGlo Highlighting Powder is a little harder pressed than other options but picks up nicely on a brush.
It can be built up on the cheeks or applied with one swipe for a more diffuse sheen.
Wear time is comparable, and it doesn’t show signs of fading.
You really can’t go wrong with any of our faves!
