Meghan McCain is mom to Liberty Sage, who is 15 months old.
However,Peoplereported that theformer co-host of"The View"suffered amiscarriagebefore having Liberty.
Because she’d been on “The View,” McCain spoke previously about her pregnancy loss.
McCain struggled with the public nature of losing her pregnancy because of her position at the ABC talk show.
“This was not supposed to be public knowledge.
I have had my share of public grief and public joy.
Because of that pressure, she smiled through the pain as the photographer snapped the photos.
Recently, the 37-year-old gave more insight into the devastation she felt after her miscarriage.
However, her miscarriage took things to a different level because of how different the experience was.
“It’s like every sense in my body was overwhelmed and then I was heartbroken.”
She explained that the physical experience of miscarrying was different than she’d believed.
She’d imagined that a miscarriage was “bleeding profusely in the middle of a room or something.”
However, her loss was “very different” physically.
Even so, McCain still feels the devastation of losing her pregnancy.
“I had a miscarriage,” she wrote in theNew York Times.
