AsThe Expressreported, Buckingham Palace has in the past suggested that medals from previous Jubilee celebrations were given to senior royals due to their service to the nation.

However, this time around the special Jubilee medals are reportedly being handed out to many other members of the family, including Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, Peter Phillips, Zara and Mike Tindall, Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, among others.
Prince Harry has received multiple Jubilee medals in the past
Speaking toThe Express, an insider claimed that the Platinum Jubilee medals are “purely commemorative,” adding that the Queen buys the medals for her family members herself.
Elsewhere, a Buckingham Palace spokeswoman said, “A wide number of members of the Royal Family will receive the Platinum Jubilee medal in line with the previous two jubilees.”

In previous years, Prince Harry has received two special Jubilee medals from his grandmother the Queen, one for her Golden Jubilee in 2002 and the second for the monarch’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012.
PerMarie Claire, Queen Elizabeth II has some major plans for her Platinum Jubilee in 2022, which includes an A-list four-night celebration and an additional Bank Holiday in the United Kingdom, among other exciting events.
Although the Platinum Jubilee doesn’t officially take place until 2022, Her Majesty will get celebrations underway on Friday, October 1, with a special tree-planting alongside her son and heir to the throne, Prince Charles.
