There were fears that allowing Trump to continue using Twitter might lead to “further incitement of violence.”
He was warned about being banned but refused to heed it.
His 2020 campaign adviser, Jason Miller, described the move as “disgusting.”
The controversial representative’s personal account was permanently suspended following repeated violations of Twitter’s strict COVID-19 misinformation policy.
“Marjorie Taylor Greene has a huge constituency of honest, patriotic, hard-working people,” he said.
“They don’t deserve what’s happened to them on places like low-life Twitter and Facebook.
They’re boring, have only a Radical Left point of view, and are hated by everyone.
They are a disgrace to our nation.”
The new platform is set to launch sometime in the next few months.
“Twitter is an enemy to America and can’t handle the truth,” Greene said.
She was previously suspended for making false claims aboutelection fraudand for spreading additional vaccine misinformation.
