Former “Bachelor” starColton Underwoodis speaking out.
“I’ve ran from myself for a long time.
I’ve hated myself for a long time, and I’m gay.
And I came to terms with that earlier this year and have been processing it.
The next step in all of this was letting people know.
I’m still nervous.
It’s been a journey, for sure,” he said.
“I’m emotional, but in such a good, happy, positive way,” he continued.
He also added that he felt that he was “different since the age of 6.”
Now, Underwood is speaking out about the connections he made on the show.
“Unfortunately, I don’t have really any relationships in the franchise anymore,” he said.
However, there is one friendship that has continued on since Underwood’s days as “The Bachelor.”
These days, Underwood gives the impression of thriving.
He’s got a new reality series about his journey titled “Coming Out Colton.
