Years later, it also relates to her return to Instagram.

Shortly after announcing herengagement to Sam Asgharilast week, Spears turned off the app without any advance warning.

Some concerned fans worried that the decision to deactivate was not her own.

The concerns persisted even afterSpencer apologizedand Asghari graciously accepted.

However, the “Toxic” siren offered a simple explanation onTwitter.

“Don’t worry, folks,” she wrote.

“Just taking a little break from social media to celebrate my engagement.”

Spears promised to “be back soon,” and she stayed true to her word.

According to Spears, she and Sam Asghari booked a celebratory weekend getaway.

Well, there’s an explanation for that.

“I took these in Palm Springs with clip-in extensions,” Spears added.

“I’ve waited 13 years and counting for my freedom,” she wrote (viaInstagram).
