The Ohio native is from the small town of Sycamore, just outside of Cleveland.
Shanae previously worked as an administrative assistant for a neurosurgeon at The Ohio State University.
She also has her cosmetologist license.
In her ABC bio, it’s revealed what Shanae hoped to find by dating Echard during Season 26.

It started when Shanae was chosen to go on a group date with Clayton Echard and some other contestants.
During the outing, Ankney seemingly got jealous of fellow contestant Elizabeth Corrigan monopolizing Echard’s time.
“So I want to expose something about myself,” Elizabeth told Shanae.
“It’s really hard for me to have multiple auditory inputs because I can’t process the information.
I’ve had it really bad since I was a kid,” she added.
“The audacity of Shanae to shame Elizabeth for having ADHD.
